Inside the medikit world: 2025 – a year in review

2025 wasn’t a year of big words – it was a year shaped by the moments of everyday life.

Moments from clinics, practices and care facilities where medikit has long been part of the daily routine. Moments from teams who laugh, try things out, solve problems together – and show how much good communication can achieve.

It was also a year of impressive community growth. We were happy to welcome many fantastic medical organizations to the medikit family. Among our strongest new references are zahneins, operator of more than 80 dental practices in Germany, the Zahnärzte am Schönen Turm in Erding – with around 100 employees one of the largest single practices in Germany – The Pluszahnärzte, as well as Pflege Wattens of Marktgemeinde Wattens.

We are also excited about many other innovative medical practices and facilities, including Smartemis, Zahnarztpraxis Weißenfels, Praxis Leinemund, Zahnarztpraxis Ärztehaus Wiesloch, the Diabetologische Schwerpunktpraxis Düren, and many more. A community that keeps growing – and where every single story matters.

Between new tools, inspiring feedback and lots of humor, 2025 was anything but boring. Instead of focusing on numbers and buzzwords, we’re sharing what truly drives us this year: real stories from our medikit community. Stories that show that digitalization works best when it comes alive in daily routines – and that the human side not only stays, but becomes even stronger.

Well, if that isn’t a motto for 2026! ! Honestly? We’re honored to come before the first caffeine boost of the day. One practice definitely set the right priorities and made us smile with a handmade meme:

It all started with a completely harmless message from a manager to her team – and ended up becoming one of our favorite moments of the year:

Our medikit support team loves to jump in wherever they can – making life easier for admins (at least when it comes to medikit!).

Roberta, the runaway

How useful good communication can be sometimes becomes clear in the most unexpected ways:

“Our vacuum robot ROBERTA has been missing for several days!! Has anyone seen her? Did she get lost somewhere?

A short time later, the mystery was solved – Roberta had been hiding in storage. 
A few dust bunnies later, she was back in action – and everyone was relieved. 

This is what good communication via medikit looks like: quick, uncomplicated, and with a happy ending.

When features are so good that even authorities are impressed, we know things are going well:

That’s what quality management sounds like when it’s actually fun. And it shows: sometimes it’s the small innovations that make the biggest difference.

Customer inquiry of the year

Our support team really gives everything – really everything. But sometimes the challenges are simply.. um.. out of our control. As always, our support team asks customers to briefly describe the issue and this time, the reply was:

I need help, I’m stuck in the elevator.

(And no – it wasn’t the first time.)
For 2026, we wish for more calm customers like this one – and fully functioning elevators everywhere.

New integrations joined the digital ecosystem

2025 wasn’t only a year full of strong customer stories – it was also a year in which our partner network in healthcare grew significantly. Together with selected industry partners, we’re driving digital collaboration forward in practices, clinics, care facilities and more and more in the veterinary sector.

In the dental world, we were excited to work with our booth partners at the IDS fair in Germany – including rose, pepito and the Deutsche Zahnärzte Service – as well as BFS.

We also expanded our network in care and healthcare: With Sophia Warnecke (Digital Healthcare Consulting & Training, Germany) and WS-EDV GmbH in Austria, we secured two new partnerships that will support future projects.

Another highlight: the new Personio integration.
Personio is a central HR system that bundles and automates HR processes digitally.
The integration with medikit syncs users automatically – new employees are added right away, updates are transferred continuously and deactivations happen at the correct time.

The veterinary sector is also becoming more important. With Smartemis and the great support of Astrid Brockhoff, we are taking our first steps into a growing future market – from joint events to the first active practices.

Together with our partners, we’re building an ecosystem that supports medical teams in every sector – efficient, connected and future-oriented.
