Haluszczynski Pharmacy Network: Centralized QM with medikit

Boris Haluszczynski is the CEO and Director of the Haluszczynski Pharmacy Network, with locations in Aalen, Baden-Württemberg. It all started with the acquisition of the first location, Limes-Apotheke, in 2002. The first branch opened in 2004. In 2017, the network was restructured and expanded to include the ZOB-Apotheke. Another opportunity arose in 2018 with the addition of Härtsfeld-Apotheke, forming the current four-location structure.

Four pharmacies, four locations, one goal: unified, transparent, and efficient communication across the entire network. With medikit, CEO and Pharmacy Director Boris Haluszczynski found a digital solution that transformed his team’s internal operations. Since its implementation, the team has benefited from paperless quality management, structured workflows, and complete visibility across all tasks, regardless of location.

Challenge

Creating structure across multiple locations

The first branch was opened in 2004, Haluszczynski realized that traditional communication and organization tools like Outlook were not sufficient to manage a growing pharmacy network efficiently. The locations, spread over a 20 km radius, lacked effective digital connectivity. There was no central system to link calendars, documents, or operational processes reliably. With the addition of Härtsfeld-Apotheke in 2018, it became evident that managing several locations demands a centralized solution that supports digital and paperless workflows, and a modern QM system.

Solution

Digital structure for transparent communication & QM

After a thorough testing phase carried out by an expert team and Mr. Haluszczynski, the decision to implement medikit became clear. The platform quickly proved to be exactly what the pharmacy network needed. Rollout began with complex checklists and location-specific task owners. Thanks to expert onboarding, the medikit implementation went smoothly. A standout feature for Haluszczynski was the medikit handbook: a digital, version-controlled knowledge system that seamlessly integrates existing documents. With embedded videos and an intuitive interface, the system won over the team. The Ideas tool, used to gather employee input, became an engine for innovation across the pharmacies.

“Our pharmacies are spread across different locations, between 5 and 20 kilometers apart, and I can’t be everywhere at once. With medikit, I can centralize information from all sites, keep everything documented, and easily evaluate it.”

Result

Simplified processes, time savings & team engagement

Today, the entire team benefits from streamlined, structured communication across all locations. Processes are fully digitized, checklists are paperless, and key information is always accessible in one central hub. This not only saves valuable time but also improves operational transparency. The medikit Handbook enables effective management reviews, supports audits, and makes process changes traceable. Team members are actively involved and regularly give feedback on new projects quickly, efficiently, and with minimal friction. The pharmacy network Haluszczynski is a compelling example of how a digital tool like medikit can truly transform day-to-day operations.
